what is rock. and differentiate rock from mineral. and types of rock and how did they originate. and mechanical/physical properties of rock and chemical properties of rock.

Lexiology dictionary of American English defines rock as:
(n) a lump or mass of hard consolidated mineral matter
(n) material consisting of the aggregate of minerals like those making up the Earth’s crust
