Why Not?
What does the word rock mean? Simple enough question. But how did the term originate? Where — and why? These questions are bit more difficult to answer!

    what is rock. and differentiate rock from mineral. and types of rock and how did they originate. and mechanical/physical properties of rock and chemical properties of rock.

    Lexiology dictionary of American English defines rock as:

    (n) a lump or mass of hard consolidated mineral matter
    (n) material consisting of the aggregate of minerals like those making up the Earth’s crust
